The biggest event in sports history has begun! Tiger Woods can forget about his record scores in golf, never mind the professional heavy weight fighters or Roger Federers first prizes - whoever wins this event will set a new record for first prize in any event in history!

Cardplayer.com has bought the rights to be at the tables and reporting, but they are doing a lousy job - stick to pokerpages or almost any other poker weblog - even this one!

In the evening I attended a reception hosted the Poker Players Association, had a very pleasant chat with Jen Leo, a writer for several magazines and web sites, check out her stuff online.

Went back to the playing room while they were at their dinner break - at 8 p.m. there were still 154 tables going with a total of 1,540 players - and they have to play down to only 800 players before they are done.
I am (hopefully!) in for a looooong day tomorrow......
