WPS - warming up

The World Poker Showdown is partly sponsored by Americas cardroom - they have a live update blog with picture gallery you can check out at http://www.acrpoker.com/liveFeed/wpscostarica.php?v=59

If you read through it you will find me "starring" in a couple of key hands that made me come back to be alive and kicking in today´s tournament, at least until it turned sour again and I was out. This time I made it to 14th spot of 74 starting players. While I am happy to get a lot of practice and tournament poker under my skin (4.5 hours of poker today) I am quite unhappy about my recent tendency of ending up just outside of the money. It happened at Bellagio, it happened at the Wynn, it happened in Escazù and today it happened at the Radisson. 9 spots paid out between $1,000 and $6,000 (roughly), while my exit resulted in a red number $330.....

The guy to my left (right on the photo) is Miguel Solano, a really nice fellow. He was the one to double me up on a pair of Kings, and he was also the one to take me completely out of the event when his queens held up against my jacks.

Tomorrow is the Super Satellite day. $270+30 entry, 1 in 11 players will get a seat at Thursdays main event.

More news tomorrow.
