life before and after WSOP

This Saturday I will be playing at the Final Table of the WSOP Challenge I have been running in Tamarindo. At first I bought the seat Linda had won heads-up against me, and later I won a second seat myself, leaving me with the priviledge of starting with a double stack, virtually busting a tenth player at the Final Table. However, I received a good offer to sell one seat, so in the end I am left with one stack just like the other nine players. Many of them sighed in relief as they were fearing me with a double stack, but for me it will surely be an even greater pleasure to win on completely equal terms - and now I am in there pretty cheap.

Even if I don't win Saturday (the probable result), I will likely be headed to Vegas and the WSOP anyway. I might play one of the lower buy-in events, and then a satellite for the Main Event.

After returning from Vegas, I am proud to tell that I will be preparing for my next exciting event: The Guanacaste Series of Poker! It is a small 4-day series of tournaments designed to attract both the stronger local players as well as the players from San Jose. With a $1,200 buy-in Main Event we should provide the excuse the spoiled capital players need to come to the beach and play poker! There will be 3 other smaller buy-in tournaments as well as a bunch of satellites and qualifiers leading up to the event, so I am hoping for a success. Raising the bar again.

I will post again Sunday before leaving for Denmark and a two-week vacation.
